Industrie 4.0 in Control Panel Production: Capitalizing the Potential of Digitization 4

The placing on the market of electrical components, in this case a main low-voltage distribution board, within the European Union is regulated in the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35 / EU, among others. An important standard for compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35 / EU is IEC 61439-1: 2011. According to IEC 61439-1: 2011, the low-voltage main distribution boards (Inc > 1600 A / Icc > 17 kA) must be type-tested with regard to the heating limits and short-circuit strength (property test).

In order to be able to supply our customers with a CE-compliant low-voltage main distribution board, we use type-tested systems from EATON, Rittal and VAMOCON.

The manufacturing documents contain all important information for the mechanical production

  • Mounting location (copper bar, transformer, circuit breaker, etc.)
  • Dimensions of the copper bars
  • Position of the mounting holes (diagram (M8/M10/M12))
  • Position and degree of bending (connection lug)
  • Cross section of the copper bar

The three-dimensional construction planning accurate to a millimeter saves us valuable time in mechanical production. In addition, we can provide our customers with precise information for his building / container planning already at tendering process.
