Control And Power Distribution Systems for Emergency Power Supply
Application Vamocon
Supply of the emergency genset by a 2000 A distribution
In our application we control and monitor an emergency power supply. The resulting rated current is 1567 A. In order to provide this current for the consumers under the technical regulation IEC 61439-2, we use the design-verified Vamocon system by SEDOTEC.
The design, engineering and production of energy distribution system depends on the technical requirement of the customer. This application describes how we specified and produced this energy distribution system.

Energy distribution
- Degree of protection = IP 4x
- Cable entry = top / bottom
- Degree of internal separation = form 4b
- Cubicle height = 2160 mm
- Cubicle width = 884 mm (total width)
- Cubicle depth = 650 mm
Main bus bar
- Nominal voltage = 415 VAC
- Nominal frequency = 50 Hz
- Nominal current = 1567 A
- Icw = 85 kA (1s)

Generator air circuit breaker
- Breaker type = air circuit breaker
- Poles = 4-pole
- Rated current = 2000 A
- Rated operational current = 1567 A (incl. derating)
- Rated breaking capacity = 100 kA
- Design = fixed installation
- Motor drive = 24 VDC
- Closing coil = 24 VDC
- Shunt release = undervoltage release 24 VDC / shunt release 24 VDC
- Trip unit = Micrologic 5.0E

We can adjust the protection settings with selectivity calculation (overcurrent/short circuit) optimally to the local regulations by our genset control KAS.

With the Vamocon system we can design and produce various customized applications.
